JTG Says He And Shad Gaspard 'Were Screwed' By WWE
JTG and the late Shad Gaspard never won a tag-team title as the popular tag-team Cryme Tyme during their run with the company, and JTG has suggested that the pair 'were screwed' by their booking.

Since their debut in 2006 on Monday Night RAW, JTG and Shad Gaspard were involved in plenty of Tag-Team Title matches, facing off against the likes of Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr and The Miz and John Morrison, but never walking away with belts around their waists.
The wrestling star addressed in a recent interview with SO CATCH By Hal and said: “While I was in the WWE, I definitely felt like we, Shad and I, were shafted." (h/t Wrestlinginc)
He would go on to add that he feels that ultimately it didn't matter that they won zero titles, because they had something better - the support of the WWE Universe.
“Post-WWE career, looking back, I believe having the fans, being the fan favorites is way more important than being tag team champions, you know what I mean?" He added.
“Because they choose, the company chooses who they put the tag team titles on, but they can’t choose who they want the fans to love. We’ll always be fan favorites, we earned that. WWE didn’t give that to us.”
What Happened To Cryme Tyme In WWE?
Two years after their debut, Cryme Tyme were released by WWE, but returned to the company a year later in 2008.
After sporadic moments in the spotlight things started to wind down for the tag-team, and eventually they were split up in 2010. Shortly after that Shad Gaspard was released and JTG ended up a 'forgotten man' on the roster, staying there for another four years until he too was released in 2014.
