Torrie Wilson created a memorable career with her work in WCW and WWE, leading her to the WWE Hall of Fame. Torrie clearly fit into the landscape by getting over and having value when WWE purchased WCW.

The run of Wilson saw a few different changes coming throughout the years. No one can argue that Torrie was the best in-ring worker, but she certainly used the character side to find strong relevance. Each chapter of her career stood out in various different ways. Without further ado, let's take a look back at the career of Torrie Wilson and all her different phases.
10 Managing David Flair
The start of Torrie Wilson’s career in wrestling featured her working closely with David Flair. Kevin Nash brought Wilson in through a mutual friend when believing she’d be a good fit for the wrestling business.

WCW needed to add some women to the roster and Torrie was a good fit. The first few months were a bit rough as Wilson didn’t have much acting experience. WCW thankfully gave her a lot of time to get through this angle and continue improving afterwards.
9 Final WWE Face Run
The final run of Torrie Wilson’s career featured little importance on the SmackDown brand. Wilson was drafted to the blue brand in 2007 and had a short-term angle with Jimmy Yang. WWE split them up quickly as Torrie continued to wrestle as a singles face.
The in-ring work of Wilson was never her calling card and a few injuries made it even harder. Torrie elected to take time off, leading to WWE releasing her in 2008. There have been a few one-off returns, but Wilson has truly retired from full-time wrestling.
8 Managing Carlito
WWE struggled to find the right role for Carlito after his first few pushes fizzled out and he needed a new direction. Trish Stratus was placed in a romantic angle with Carlito, but she was opting to retire before it could get going.
The pivot saw Torrie Wilson moving into the role of Stratus as Carlito’s love interest for a few months. Carlito and Torrie struggled to develop much chemistry and he turned on her to get back to his better role as a heel. Wilson didn’t get much of a chance to break out in this chapter of her career.
7 Managing Billy Gunn
Torrie Wilson was an impressive manager, but she didn’t always find chemistry with the talents WWE placed her with. Billy Gunn was another story of a wrestler looking for something new and getting Torrie added to his act at ringside.
WWE fans had witnessed Gunn for long enough to know that another singles push would elevate him to the top. Wilson did her best and had some entertaining moments during their main feud with Jamie Noble and Nidia. However, it clearly was not the best long-term fit for her career.
6 Alliance Team with Stacy Keibler
There were not too many heel runs for Torrie Wilson in WWE since she connected so strongly as a face character. Wilson paired up with Stacy Keibler during their first few months in WWE as heels in The Alliance faction of WCW and ECW talents.
The rivalry of Torrie and Stacy vs Trish Stratus and Lita had a positive result since all four women were viewed as major stars. Wilson did well since had great chemistry with Keibler, but WWE turned her face as one of the first Alliance wrestler to join WWE due to her bigger upside in that role.
5 Shane Douglas' Manager
WCW signing Shane Douglas saw them struggling to find an ideal role for him in the final few years of the company’s existence. ECW made Douglas the top heel with Francine as his manager for the perfect chemistry.

Torrie Wilson was placed with Douglas, hoping to replicate the same success of Francine. The chemistry wasn’t as strong, but they did have a few high-profile feuds. Wilson continued to prove her charisma in the early stages of her career.
4 Vince's Devils
The close friendship between Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle, and Victoria made them an ideal heel trio when working together in WWE. All three ladies tried to take over the Women’s Division when Wilson and Michelle turned heel on Ashley Massaro.
Torrie was the weakest wrestler of the three and often preferred to manage at ringside for the other two. The name Vince’s Devils was given to the trio playing off the success of the prior television series and movie franchise Charlie’s Angels.
3 Joining the Filthy Animals
The Filthy Animals was one of the most underrated WCW factions when starting in 1999. Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and Konnan brought their real-life friendship to the screen with the fun act providing great matches.
Torrie Wilson was the missing piece that added another dynamic when becoming the love interest of Billy Kidman. The first face run for Wilson in wrestling allowed her to work with some of the best talents while finding her groove with the ideal character role.
2 Managing Tajiri
Torrie Wilson turned face for WWE during the Invasion storyline by pairing with Tajiri. The romantic odd couple found chemistry and connected with the audience. Fans loved the comedic antics of Tajiri and were overjoyed getting to cheer Torrie.
The role was perfect for Wilson getting to show off her best character skills as a beloved face and she didn’t have to wrestle too many matches. There was even a perfect ending of Torrie getting sympathy when Tajiri turned heel to elevate her even more as a fan favorite.
1 Face of Smackdown Women's Division
The in-ring aspect of wrestling was admittedly not Torrie Wilson’s best skill, but she tried her best when placed in the role. SmackDown had a weaker Women’s Division in the original brand split since they didn’t even have a Women’s Championship like Raw at the time.
Torrie’s popularity was strong enough to carry all Women’s Division segments at the time on the blue brand. SmackDown often featured bikini contests that always saw Wilson having the biggest pop to win. Torrie had noteworthy programs against Dawn Marie and Sable at the height of her career.
