Elden Ring: How To Duplicate Remembrances
To duplicate Remembrances in Elden Ring, Tarnished must seek one of the seven Walking Mausoleums in the Lands Between and enter their inner chamber.
Similar to the "Boss Souls" of past Souls titles, Remembrances are rare Consumable Items in Elden Ring dropped by Demigod bosses once defeated. Remembrances can be consumed in exchange for an abundance of Runes or traded with Enia in Roundtable Hold for a unique piece of equipment or Spell. For each Demigod soul, Enia will offer more than one option of gear or magic from which to choose.
As a result, Tarnished may have trouble choosing which of Enia's unique items they want, hampering their decision. Fortunately, the Lands Between provides a convenient way to duplicate any Remembrance the player wishes. This duplication procedure is performed at a Walking Mausoleum. As Tarnished explore the vast world of Elden Ring, they will, sooner or later, encounter one of several turtle-like colossi roaming a small area. Some are equipped with a bell that tolls loudly across the landscape. Adventurers will need to scale these massive creatures and enter the sanctum that sits atop their bodies. Inside will be an altar where Remembrance duplication takes place.
However, before Tarnished eagerly attempts to duplicate all of their Remembrances, they must take into account several significant limitations. First, only one Remembrance in Elden Ring can be reproduced at a Walking Mausoleum. Therefore, once the ritual has been performed, the player must seek another Mausoleum to recreate a separate Remembrance. Furthermore, only seven of the rare tortoise-shaped colossi exist within the world, meaning that Tarnished have a limited number of times to duplicate their Remembrances. Therefore, they must choose wisely before carrying out the process.
Remembrance Duplication In Elden Ring
To duplicate Remembrances in Elden Ring, head to any Walking Mausoleum within the Lands Between. The most accessible one resides in southern Limgrave within a valley in the western half of the Weeping Peninsula. Approach it and attack the skull-clustered deposits that cover its feet. Be careful not to get crushed during the process. Once enough of the white ichor has been removed, the Elden Ring beast will tumble to the ground, allowing Tarnished to access the building on top. The player can enter inside and duplicate the Remembrance of their choosing.
Keep in mind that a different strategy may be required to take down other Mausoleums. For instance, the white skull clusters of the one in North Liurnia are on top of the colossus. To reach and remove the crania, players must use a nearby cliff to land onto the Mausoleum's body, which could be challenging. Likewise, such tactics might be required to enter other Walking Mausoleums throughout the Lands Between.
