Eddie Guerrero's Body Transformation Over The Years, Shown In Photos
Even though he’s been gone for many years at this point, fans of professional wrestling will likely never forget about the absolute legend that was Eddie Guerrero. For years, Guerrero traveled the globe, competing for almost every major company a wrestling fan could think of. Everywhere he went, Eddie Guerrero managed to show off his own unique style in the ring through some phenomenal matches.

Guerrero managed to do something that few performers are able to do, change the world’s view of him so that he could go from generic cruiserweight to world champion. With that change came a change in his physique over the years, often leading to him having quite the different look.
10 Childhood
Every superstar had to start somewhere. While Eddie Guerrero would eventually become an absolute unit of a human being, when he was a kid, he was pretty standard. In fact, he shared something in common with a lot of other kids who would go on to become legends.
Eddie Guerrero looked happy, despite whatever hardships came his way. The young lad probably got to learn the ropes of wrestling quite early on thanks to his father, so it’s likely that even at such a young age, he was already dreaming of bulking up.
9 In AAA
When a young Eddie Guerrero was working in the tag division for AAA in the early 90s, he really didn’t look to be anything all that special. He was clearly in shape, but he wasn't the beast of a man that many wrestlers of that era were.
To be fair, Guerrero was working in a very different place than the traditional North American market, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. To add to that, Guerrero was working as one of the hottest heels in AAA at that time, so not being a well-built titan was probably an asset.
8 In ECW
Between competing for AAA and NJPW, Eddie Guerrero also found the time to make a trip over to ECW for a bit of extreme wrestling. He still wasn’t anything all that spectacular to look at from a physical point of view, even if he was putting on some of the best matches of the era.

It seems like he was taking time to put the work into building his physique at this point in his career. Likely due to being a bit shorter on funds and spending so much time traveling around the world, the gym was probably a bit more difficult to hit with consistency and quality.
7 As Cruiserweight Champion
When Eddie Guerrero became solidified as a mainstay talent in WCW, his physique began to grow quite a bit. He still wasn’t what he’d ultimately become, but it was clear that he was seeing more success at this point thanks to his skill and growing physique.
It wasn’t rare to see Guerrero on WCW television, and it wasn’t even rare to see him winning some championships. Much like Chris Jericho, Eddie was showing the world that a cruiserweight could be much more than just someone capable of flashy moves.
6 In LWO
By the era of the LWO, Eddie Guerrero was beloved by fans. In fact, it was the immense level of love that resulted in Eddie’s apparent frustrations of not having a shot at the top. While he hadn’t changed all that much physically at this point, he would face a major derailment in this era.
Many know that this storyline was cut short due to Eddie suffering from a car accident. His continued unhappiness with the company seemed to push Eddie into further building his physique for his eventual jump over to WWE.
5 As European Champion
When Eddie made his way onto WWE television, he still hadn’t reached his physical prime. He seemed to have bulked up and leaned out a bit from his standard WCW days, but he still didn’t look like he’d be getting ready to Powerbomb Batista.
It likely didn't help that he spent a lot of time aligned with Chyna during this period, who ended up making Eddie look a lot smaller than he actually was. It wouldn’t be all that long from this point before Eddie would end up being dropped from WWE briefly.
4 Eddie Guerrero In ROH
After Eddie departed from WWE, he had a brief stint with Ring of Honor among other independent promotions. Anyone can speculate on the reason, but it was during this period that Eddie Guerrero grew into the massive performer he would finally be.
He had all the skill and presence in the world, but now, he also had the physique to go with it. With vascular arms, bulging muscles, and a relatively lean frame, Eddie looked like he was ready to take on the best of the best in WWE.
3 In Los Guerreros
It's fair to say that when Eddie returned to WWE he was built like a beast. The man looked like he was primed for a major run as a successful singles star, but instead, he wound up teaming with Chavo in Los Guerreros.

It was during this period that looked like Eddie was at his happiest. Getting up to weekly hijinks with Chavo really looked like Eddie was truly having the time of his life. Absolutely everyone loved seeing Eddie lie, cheat, and steal with Chavo by his side.
2 As US Champion
Throughout Eddie’s WWE run it was like he was always ramping up to becoming the world champion. His physique was spectacular when he returned, but then it seemed to soften out just a bit.
Eddie always looked great during this run with the company and especially when he won the United States Championship, but in a way, his physique seemed as transitional as his title reigns could be. It was only a matter of time before Eddie reached his peak.
1 As World Champion
People will never forget when Eddie Guerrero finally became a world champion. The moment was one of the biggest in the history of wrestling, but he’d also come a long way since his AAA days. Comparing his physique side-by-side, Eddie looks completely different.
Oozing star power, Eddie never looked better physically in his career than he did when he became the world champion. The smaller competitor could believably go toe-to-toe against men like Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle with no issue. Sadly, the world would lose this absolute legend only a short while after his crowning achievement.
