Drew McIntyre Returns At Money in the Bank

At Money in the Bank, not much of the focus was put on Intercontinetal Champion Gunther. There was no doubt that he would beat Matt Riddle to cap off a Raw feud that hadn't drawn much interest. Even though the two competitors put on a fine performance, the finish was never in doubt, with Gunther easily beating Riddle and continuing his historic run as Intercontinental Champion. RELATED: Why Drew McIntyre Hasn't Been On WWE TVWith the latest competitor vanquished, the question became, who would be next on Raw to challenge Gunther and could anyone beat him? That was shockingly answered as Drew McInytre's music hit and the O2 Arena crowd in London erupted. Out marched the Scottish Warrior in his first WWE appearance since WrestleMania 39, where McIntyre lost a triple threat match against Gunther and Sheamus. McIntyre hadn't been seen since due to contract issues, an injury, and the death of his sister-in-law, though there were reports he'd be returning as soon as Money in the Bank.

A surprised Gunther looked on as a smiling McIntyre slowly made his way to the ring for a stare down. McIntyre wasn't content to just intimidate the Intercontinental Champion, however. He went on the attack, laying out Gunther with a Claymore before raising the title belt over his head to the roar of the crowd.

Drew McIntyre was sent to Raw during the WWE draft several weeks ago, but had yet to appear on Monday nights. It looks like we'll be seeing him this Monday on Raw to make his challenge to Gunther official. Could we be witnessing Gunther vs Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam in Detroit?
