In the wake of the recent TKO Holdings Group merger and subsequent layoffs, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has held an all-employee meeting to address its workforce. The meeting, held on Tuesday, September 19, took place at the new WWE Headquarters building in Stamford, Connecticut, and provided insight into the company's future. Led by Vince McMahon, word is that the meeting was meant to be a morale booster following a tough few days.

Following the merger, WWE made headlines by terminating the contracts of over 100 employees, a move that wasn't a huge shock considering the merger between WWE and the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), forming the TKO Holdings Group. The plan was always to blend a number of jobs and limit the duplicate tasks, so layoffs weren't a big surprise. That said, these layoffs were announced just three days after the official merger and as one can imagine, the office was pretty down as many familiar faces were moved along.

The meeting featured prominent figures from WWE and TKO, including Vince McMahon, the TKO Executive Chairman, WWE President Nick Khan, and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel. According to reports, specifically from PWInsider, the gathering was a brief but motivational one, lasting approximately 12-15 minutes.

During the meeting, executives expressed optimism about WWE's future and its promising prospects under the new TKO banner. The atmosphere was described as positive, with mutual praise among the leaders of WWE and TKO. McMahon, Khan, and Emanuel commended each other's efforts and highlighted the successful coming together of the companies as a big moment in sports and entertainment history.

Sources characterized the gathering as a bit of a smokescreen and an attempt to keep otherwise disappointed employees focused on the company's bright future. As one might imagine, not everyone in the company felt like the meeting was completely genuine. Some suggested that Vince was probably the wrong guy to be running the show and that this feeling of uneasiness wouldn't have been as great under someone like Stephanie McMahon.

WWE Is Moving Forward, With No Talent Releases

As WWE enters this new chapter under the TKO Holdings Group, the recent employee meeting serves as a sign of determination towards their unified goal with UFC. No talent releases are expected (at least not massive cuts like in the past) and there is an other segment of the staff that probably feels this is good for WWE, seeing as Vince is no longer the majority owner.
