Deploying TCP/IP static port definitions - Documentation for BMC AMI Ops Infrastructure 7.1

  • In the SETPORT view, next to the port definition that you want to deploy, under CMD, type T and press Enter.

    Important

    You can select multiple port definitions by tagging each port definition with T.

  • On the COMMAND line, type DEPLOY and press Enter.
    The TCPIP PORT definition Deployment dialog is displayed.

  • In the Replace TCPIP PORT definitions? field, specify YES or NO. Specifying YES replaces the existing TCP/IP port definitions on the target system. This applies to all TCP/IP port definitions that are selected for deployment. The default value is YES.                                              

  • (Optional) To exit without deploying, on the COMMAND line, type CANcel and press Enter.

  • To go to the next step, on the COMMAND line, type N or Next, and press Enter.
    The TCPIP PORT definition dialog is displayed.

  • To confirm that you have selected the correct port definitions for deployment, on the COMMAND line, type N or Next, and press Enter.

    The Targets dialog is displayed.

  • In the Context field, specify the name of one or more systems to which you want to deploy the TCP/IP port definitions. 

    1. If you do not know the system name, on the COMMAND line, type Select and press Enter to display the Select Context dialog.

    2. From the list of available SSI context names, type S next to the context that you want to use.

      Important

      You can select only one context at a time.

    3. To save your changes and exit the Select Context dialog, on the COMMAND line, type End.  The Targets dialog  returns with the list of selected targets.
  • (Optional) To deselect any of the selected target, under S, next to the selected target, delete S and press Enter

  • To begin deployment to the selected targets, on the COMMAND line, type Deploy and press Enter.
    The DPLYMNT view is displayed with the status of your deployment request. You can monitor and manage your request from this view. For more information, see Managing and monitoring the deployment process.
