Deonna Purrazzo Wants Best Friend Toni Storm To Join Her At Impact

Deonna Purrazzo and Toni Storm are close friends with matching tattoos, which might explain why Purrazzo is so keen on the idea of Storm becoming a member of the Impact Wrestling roster as soon as she's contractually allowed to do so.

During a recent chat with Jose G of Sportskeeda, "The Virtuosa" was asked by a fan to choose whether she would prefer to see Toni Storm or CJ Perry (Lana) sign with Impact. Naturally, Purrazzo chose her Aussie bestie.

"Another one of my very best friends is Toni Storm. So I'm going to say Toni Storm in terms of wanting to wrestle her," Deonna answered. "Also, in terms of, I think everything that she needs as a human, IMPACT provides. Just, yeah. I want to see her thrive in whatever she chooses to do next, whether it's wrestling, or whether it's not."

Toni Storm coming to the ring in WWE

Purrazzo and Storm go way back and knew each other before they'd ever set foot in the performance center. The two women first shared a ring at a Stardom show in Tokyo back in 2017. At that event, Deonna teamed up with Shayna Baszler to take on Toni Strom & Zoe Lucas, as well as Io Shirai & Hazuki, in a triple threat tag team match. Purrazzo & Baszler emerged victorious.

As you might recall, Purrzzo was released by WWE along with nearly two dozen other wrestlers and producers in April of 2020. Toni Strom parted ways with WWE via mutual consent towards the end of December 2021.

After a stint in NXT, Storm was called up to WWE's main roster last year. The Aussie Superstar's arrival on SmackDown was announced on the July 9 edition on SmackDown, which also featured the main roster of debuts of two of her former NXT colleagues, Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox. Toni kicked her main roster career off with a victory over Zelina Vega on the July 23 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Since being released by WWE, Deonna Purrazzo has had two reigns as Impact Knockouts Champion, and currently holds the Ring Of Honor Women's Championship and the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
