Corey Graves Wins The 24/7 Title Then Loses It To Byron Saxton
The 24/7 Title changed hands a lot of times on Raw this week and was even briefly held by both Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.
Two and a half years on from its introduction by Mick Foley, it's hard to fathom why exactly WWE's 24/7 Title is still a thing. Probably because it appeals to that infamous audience of one. In defense of the championship, which is always on the line as the name implies, it was used in a segment that was actually somewhat entertaining on Raw this week.
Reggie's Record Reign Comes To An End
Reggie, who went into this match as the longest-reigning 24/7 Champion ever, defended the title against Drake Maverick. That record-breaking reign ended at 112 days thanks to Maverick, but then chaos ensued.

As soon as the bell rang to signal the end of the match, Maverick was fair game. A lurking Akira Tozawa took advantage of that and pinned Maverick to become a seven-time champion. You'd think Tozawa would know to run away right after winning the 24/7 Title for the seventh time, but he did not.
Byron Saxton 1-0 Corey Graves
Tozawa was stood right in front of the announce desk facing the ring. In fairness, he probably didn't expect an attack from behind, especially from Corey Graves. That's exactly what happened, though. Graves rolled up Tozawa for a three-count and briefly became 24/7 Champion. We say briefly because as the commentator celebrated, Byron Saxton did the exact same thing to him, ending Graves' reign.
Saxton was quickly beaten too as he was pinned by Maverick, ushering in the second reign of the night for the Brit. Reggie was waiting for Maverick when he rushed the ring who pinned him before making an acrobatic exit and making his escape. That's right, after all of that, the same man who entered the segment with the title left with it.
