The highly-anticipated Chucky season 2 may be arriving this fall. Based on the Child’s Play horror film franchise created by Don Mancini, the continuation story follows Brad Dourif reprising his role as the voice of the soul of Charles Lee Ray possessed in a vintage doll, as he commits a series of inconceivable murders in a quiet town in New Jersey. Following the monumental success of the series, Syfy and USA Network greenlit a season 2 renewal one month after the show’s premiere.

Now, according to Deadline, Chucky will likely return for season 2 on Syfy and USA Network sometime in the fall of 2022. Although a specific date has yet to be announced, it is presumed to follow the pre-Halloween schedule, as the joint network is known to traditionally air horror series and movies all month long to celebrate the holiday. Previously, season 1 of the beloved spin-off series premiered on October 12, 2021.

This news comes shortly after Mancini revealed the promotional logo poster for the upcoming sophomore season. The "coming-of-rage" series garnered positive reviews from its critics and audience, amassing over 11.6 million viewers in season 1 across all available platforms, securing ratings hit for the respective networks. Since the cliffhanger finale ending of season 1, many have been yearning for the return of the titular killer doll. Currently, not much is known about Chucky season 2, but the story of the infamous doll and his plans to assemble an army of Good Guy dolls will likely continue this fall.
