Charlotte Flair Will Defend The NXT Women's Title In A Triple Threat At In Your House
Charlotte Flair might be regretting making two enemies for herself in NXT right about now.
At this year's WrestleMania, an NXT Championship was defended on The Grandest Stage of Them All for the first time ever. Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley in what was one of the best matches of the entire weekend. It meant Flair became a 12-time Women's Champion and was crowned the queen of NXT for the first time in five years.
Flair has been pulling triple duty ever since, frequently appearing on NXT, SmackDown, and her home brand, Raw. Despite flaunting her new title to pretty much every woman in WWE, Ripley has remained adamant she will be the won to end Flair's reign. The Aussie first had to wait for Io Shirai to have her shot though after winning an opportunity in a ladder match.

Flair made another enemy for herself in that match, hitting Shirai with a kendo stick until she was disqualified. That has now caused a problem since Ripley wants her shot at Flair, but Shirai understandably doesn't think her opportunity ended fairly. On top of that, Flair decided to interfere in Ripley and Shirai's match against each other, throwing that bout into confusion and disarray too.
It's a tried and tested route in wrestling where a champion attacks both challengers and thinks they have gotten away with it. However, as usual, the powers-that-be have instead booked a match in which Flair will have to defend her title against both Ripley and Flair. Even better, since it will be a triple threat match, The Queen will be unable to get herself disqualified in this one.
The triple threat match between the three Superstars will take place at NXT TakeOver: In Your House on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Considering the singles matches these competitors have had recently, this bout has match of the night written all over it. Plus, since WWE is eager to have Flair break her dad's record of 16 World Titles, it's highly likely either Ripley or Shirai leaves In Your House with the championship.
