Carlito Returns To Raw, Teases More Is Coming And Asks WWE To Bring Back Another Former Star

For fans who were excited to see Carlito back at the Royal Rumble and then again on Raw Monday night, there might be more of that in the future. Carlito has been active on social media, talking about his return and he's teasing more to come.

Not only does Carlito sound like he's sticking around, but he seems to be hinting that he's making a push to WWE to bring back another former WWE performer. It's one he's got some history with, both as a friend and a foe.

After more than a decade away from WWE, Carlito has been quite active over the past few days, tweeting and retweeting posts from WWE stars. He was part of an exclusive WWE interview Monday night and while alongside Jeff Hardy -- who he teamed with on Raw -- he said he's on "cloud nine right now." While there's been no confirmation of a new deal being signed or that these two appearances will lead to anything else, Carlito has talked about how excited he is to be back and his comments don't sound like those that would come from someone who is going anywhere.

Not only that, Carlito has made a case to WWE to bring back another former star in Chris Masters. For fans who don't remember, Masters was a bit of a polarizing personality in WWE. He came in with a big push and a huge physique, but after an extended absence came back much smaller. The insinuation was that he was taking PED's and as a result of the Wellness testing, his size fluctuated regularly.

Eventually, he was released on November 8th, 2007 and just six days into a 60-day suspension for having violated WWE's Wellness Policy for a second time. Masters has stayed in the wrestling scene, moving around from indie promotion to indie promotion and he and Carlito have crossed paths a number of times over the past 10-or-so years.

Would You Want Masters Back?

If Carlito is back, that's "cool." And, perhaps having Masters back could be a nice addition to the WWE roster as well. At some point, however, WWE will need to start pushing their own current crop of younger stars.

If Masters returns for a one-time match, that would be interesting. Beyond that? Hard to say how fans would respond.
