Brock Lesnar Has Very Limited Number Of Matches Left On Current Contract
Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman to regain the Universal Championship at Friday's Crown Jewel pay-per-view, but it doesn't mean that The Beast Incarnate will be staying around long-term.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, there are only two matches left on Lesnar's current WWE contract. Of course, one of those was revealed as a Survivor Series bout with WWE Champion AJ Styles for a second consecutive year.
Per Meltzer, the other match on Lesnar's contract will be against Strowman in the very near future, with either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania pay-per-view show being the venue for their next bout.
Roman Reigns relinquished the title on Monday Night Raw two weeks ago after announcing that he was battling Leukemia. That removed him effectively from the triple threat match at Crown Jewel, where acting Raw general manager attacked Strowman to ---help Lesnar run away with the easy pinfall victory.

It's well-known by now that Lesnar is set to return to the UFC by 2019, making it unlikely that his second Universal Championship will last long. But it's also unknown how long Reigns will be out of wrestling for, so Strowman is the logical candidate to eventually dethrone Lesnar as the champion.
Lesnar dropped his title to Reigns at SummerSlam, ending his record-breaking tenure. The former interfered in the Reigns-Strowman title match at Hell in a Cell, attacking both superstars and resulting in a no contest. That put Strowman's Money in the Bank cash-in to waste, and it was a sign that WWE was prepared to roll with Reigns as its Universal Champion for the long run.
But it appears as though WWE's plans had to change completely once Reigns had to step away with Leukemia. And right now, it's anybody's guess when Lesnar's latest title reign will last.
