Bret Hart's 10 Best Entrance Attires (With Photos)

Bret Hart's star was on the rise in the early 1990s, and throughout that decade, he grew into one of the biggest names in all wrestling. Along with his exemplary in-ring ability and interview skills, what helped make Bret so marketable was his image. Entering the arena in a jacket, wearing metallic-pink shades, in conjunction with his pink & black wrestling gear; the Hitman was presented as cool and fashionable. Bret's personality & charisma, as well as being naturally handsome, allowed him to pull off the whole look flawlessly.

Bret sported many variations of the jacket/sunglasses-combination throughout his WWE career, to reflect his evolution and showcase his style as he came to the ring. These are the 10 best entrance attires of the Hitman.

10 Black Jacket With Zippers

Shortly after winning his first WWE Championship in 1992, Bret began wearing this black jacket, complete with zippers. And would continue to sport it throughout 1993/94.

This black leather jacket complimented the pink shades and Bret's in-ring attire perfectly. All the zips could've been overkill but with the chain epaulets and embroidered stars on the sleeves; it all came together to provide Hart with a look befitting a champion.

9 The Hart Foundation Jacket

When Bret began teaming with his brother-in-law - the late, great Jim Neidhart - the trademark pink & black look had been decided for the Hart Foundation. Primarily entering the ring in black jackets, each sleeve was decorated with pink stripes on each sleeve, as well as pink fastens, collars and epaulets.

Hart began wearing his trademark shades to the ring, and Neidhart wore a pink hat. To further distinct the Hitman and the Anvil, decorative stars were used for Bret's jacket, whereas anvils were used for Jim. Black hearts on the epaulets were also used to showcase their unity. The Hart Foundation jackets not only looked great on both Bret and Jim as a tag-team, they would prove an ideal template to build-upon for Bret's singles-career.

8 The Maple Leaf Jacket

After a brief return to in-ring competition in 2010 (from WrestleMania 26 to SummerSlam), Bret went back to retirement; occasionally making a few guest appearances on weekly television and pay-per-view in the years that followed. And when Bret did show up, he would usually arrive in this sporting leather jacket.

Similar to the leather jacket he wore for his 2010 comeback, the Hitman's jacket featured fabulous decoration on the back. A pink Maple Leaf to honor his country of Canada, a new design of the classic WInged-Skull/Heart emblems, with pink & white stars to commemorate the Hart Foundation...this wasn't just a jacket. It was a celebration of everything Bret Hart means to wrestling.

7 Dark Wings Jacket

Bret Hart's WWE return in 2010 was bittersweet. Obviously, the Hitman couldn't compete anywhere near the level he once did, but it was still thrilling to see Bret back on WWE television after the unfortunate Montreal Screwjob. Again donning the sunglasses and jacket.

Another black leather jacket, this one featured the classic pink stripes and stars on the sleeves to honor the Hart Foundation design. The back featured another fantastic design of the Hart Emblem; a skull with dark wings over a pink heart, with more artistic decoration, pink hearts and Bret's name. A fitting entrance attire to celebrate the return of the Hitman.

6 Pink & White Jacket

Most of the time, Bret Hart's entrance attires consisted of black jackets decorated with pink. This particular jacket featured an inversion of the colors, and a lot of white to enhance the overall look.

The jacket's sleeves and upper-back area featured white sections decorated with pink stars and black paint-splatters. With black & pink epaulets on the shoulders. The whole look made for a really nice contrast with Bret's other jackets, especially when he was WWE Champion.

5 Winged Skull Jacket

During the transition of the original Hart Foundation's final days to Bret's beginnings as a singles-competitor, the Hitman entered arenas sporting a new jacket to go with his shades. More streamlined than the first Hart Foundation jackets, this design sported an emblem of a skull with white wings over a giant pink heart.

The image - featured on the back and sleeves - immediately caught the attention of fans, especially when it was printed on Bret's ring gear. This jacket also sported the now-customary pink fastenings, collars & epaulets which would be a staple for Bret's entrances. The iconic emblem itself would ultimately come to represent the Hart family as a whole.

4 Jacket With Loops

Primarily worn throughout Bret's third reign as WWE Champion (from Survivor Series 1995 to WrestleMania 12), this jacket was another work of art. Featuring embroidered loops on the sleeves and shoulders, as well as pink stars on the collars, and giant silver buttons for fastening.

All of this - along with the pink tassels - provided something of a sheriff look for the Hitman whilst he was still on top. It's ironic, really. Given that Bret Hart had once hated the idea of being given a cowboy-gimmick, this almost-Wild West image rather suited him.

3 Biker Jacket

Simply put, this was a next-level look for the Hitman. A jacket that that forwent the tassels and fastens of the pasts, and didn't even have the Winged Skull emblem.

Nonetheless, the final product looked amazing. This biker jacket struck the perfect balance between pink & black, stylizing the Bret Hart name on both sleeves, with the Hitman moniker emboldened on the back. Somehow, Bret was becoming even more cool than he already was.

2 Black & Pink With A Hint Of Orange

Following his WWE Title loss at WrestleMania 12 to Shawn Michaels, Bret took a leave of absence from the WWE. When he returned to face Stone Cold Steve Austin at Survivor Series 1996, it was only right to show off a new jacket for the fans at Madison Square Garden.

This entrance entire showcased the traditional pink & black winning formula, along with the stripes and stars on the sleeves, the epaulets on the shoulders, but the aesthetic seemed more streamlined than it had been for previous jackets. With only the collars' edges being outlined in pink, in addition to flame-patterns on the sleeves, and the inclusion of orange to contrast with the other colors. The end-result was stylish, inspired and showcased further growth for Bret's character.

1 The Hitman/Hart Foundation Jacket

In 1997, Bret had begun to alienate crowds with his attitude-change. And as his feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin intensified, the Hitman formed a new Hart Foundation with his family. Gone was the heroic Bret of the past; now there was a Hitman who led the charge against Americans in favor of his native Canada.

Bret's entrance attire throughout this period reflected his new demeanor. Instead of the tassels, decorations and sharp colors, Hart now wore a normal leather jacket. The only distinguishing feature being a garish skull over an upside-down pink triangle, with the Hitman moniker title above, and the rest of the Hart Foundation wearing similar jackets with their own names. No frills or whistles, just an awesome symbol of unity. Nothing else needed.
