Biggest Moments From SmackDown Live- Teasing A Kinshasa

AJ Styles is WWE Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura is his next challenger, Daniel Bryan is allowed to wrestle again, The Bludgeon Brothers walk around trying to hit people with their oversized mallets. What we're trying to say is SmackDown Live is basically a melting pot for big moments right now, especially with WrestleMania being less than two weeks away. This week not only did you have the aforementioned Bludgeon Brothers taking on The New Day but also Shinsuke Nakamura versus Shelton Benjamin for the first time ever in WWE in the main event. That plus more meant for plenty of big moments on the penultimate SmackDown Live before WrestleMania.

Becky Battle Royal Prepping

At WrestleMania, the female Superstars of WWE will compete in an over the top rope battle royal, well presumably all the women aside from Ronda Rousey, Stephanie McMahon and the ones involved in title matches. That leaves an awful lot of wrestlers left to fill out the match though and two of the competitors clashed on SmackDown Live this week in the form of Ruby Riott and Becky Lynch. The Lass Kicker had the added issue of Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan supporting their Riott Squad leader from ringside. That didn't stop The Lass Kicker picking up the win, however, and she even got some practice in for the imminent battle royal as you can see above.

As Is Dolph Ziggler

As well as the WrestleMania women's battle royal, there will of course also be the regularly scheduled Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. A match that has been utilized for the last four years in order to get pretty much every male Superstar without a rivalry on to the WrestleMania card. There is time to build up some animosity between competitors before the night arrives though which is why Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze went one on one this week on SmackDown Live. The Showoff has been somewhat showcased since his return so this match wasn't a long one. Ziggler picked up the win and then delivered a superkick to Fandango as he was admiring the Andre trophy at ringside.

An Unexpected RKO

The United States Title match at WrestleMania is now a fatal four way as opposed to a triple threat, and the addition of Rusev to the match has made the bout a whole lot more interesting. We're getting a little ahead of ourselves though. Before that addition took place Bobby Roode and Randy Orton teamed up to take on Jinder Mahal and the Lion of Bulgaria. The Modern Day Maharajah has been playing mind games with his two foes for weeks but this time around he didn't even need to. Roode accidentally fell on to the United States Champion who thought that his partner did it on purpose. That's why The Viper opted to hit him with an RKO as the match was still ongoing. Poor choice as that began what would eventually lead to him and Roode losing the match.

All Or Nothing For Harper

The Usos and The New Day have been entertaining us with their world-class matches for almost a year now and at WrestleMania, they will get the chance to do the same again. They'll have company though in the form of The Bludgeon Brothers. This past week The New Day got the chance to test the waters against Harper and Rowan and as has become the norm in the latter's matches things broke down pretty quickly. The former Wyatts quickly became more concerned about hurting their opponents than winning the match as you can see from the violent mallet swing from Harper. That came after The Usos came to their aid despite also being their rivals once April 8, 2018, rolls around.

Not Yet AJ

Shinsuke Nakamura is a man of few words. That's probably because certain people backstage at WWE don't think that his English is good enough for him to say more but nevertheless The King Of Strong Style makes every word count. For the most part, Nakamura has been warning his WrestleMania opponent AJ Styles that he is going to defeat him on April 8, 2018, with a little help from a knee to the face. After doing exactly that to defeat Shelton Benjamin on Tuesday night the former NXT Champion nearly delivered on that promise a little early. As a groggy Styles stumbled to his feet Nakamura went to deliver a Kinshasha, but purposefully stopped just short. If you want to see that happen then you will have to watch the pair's dream match in New Orleans.
