Bianca Belair Explains Why She "Freaked Out" Before Her First Ladder Match

Bianca Belair is a history-maker in WWE. She had an explosive rise to stardom in 2021 when she won the Women's Royal Rumble and went on to dethrone Sasha Banks as Smackdown Women's Champion. Since then, she has remained at the top of the women's division with or without a title around her waist.

Bianca Belair Describes "Nerve-Wracking" Ladder Match

PIcture of Bianca Belair as Raw Women's Champion

In an interview with Fightful, Bianca Belair recounted her ladder match with Bayley at WWE Extreme Rules 2022. She describes how it was both a fun but terrifying experience. The following transcription has been provided by Fightful:

Uhm, it was nerve-wracking. I had never been in a ladder match before, I had never even set up a ladder in the ring. The ladders are a lot heavier than you think. But no, I was excited to make history. I’ve made so much history with Bayley, Bayley was one of the first feuds I had coming to onto SmackDown and she introduced me to this crowd. So being able to make history with Bayley was amazing, in Philadelphia as well. It was fun but it was nerve-wracking. I remember before the match started I freaked out because I couldn’t find my title. I was like ‘Where’s my title?’ before the entrance and they were like ‘You are in a ladder match.’ I’ve never done this before guys, okay? [laughs]-Bianca Belair (via Fightful)
