Best Double WWE World Champions, Ranked
Holding one World Championship is a great thing to show that you are the man in the WWE. However, there have been seven men in the WWE who have had the privilege to hold two World Championships simultaneously.
In the WWE, holding two World Championships can be seen as just one World Championship reign. Chris Jericho was the first-ever Undisputed WWF Champion, merging the old WCW Championship into the WWF Championship. He held both world titles during his run but it was just counted as one reign.

Nevertheless, holding two World Championships is always a great thing as it is a rare feat. Not all of the reigns have been successful but some of them have been worthwhile. Find out the seven men who had success as a double World champion, and who did not.
7 Rob Van Dam - WWE & ECW Champion (2006)
Rob Van Dam was on cloud nine in 2006. The ECW Original won the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania 22, which gave him a future World Championship shot for a year. Van Dam seized the opportunity and cashed in against WWE Champion John Cena at ECW One Night Stand on June 11, 2006. It was rare for a challenger to cash-in by announcing their decision before a match, which was an admirable thing to do.
Van Dam would defeat Cena to win the WWE Championship for the first time. Two nights later on the rechristened ECW, Paul Heyman would give RVD the ECW Championship. He was the first and only man in history to hold the WWE and ECW World Championships simultaneously.
RVD's run at the top was short-lived as it lasted just three weeks as he was caught by the police with drug possession along with Sabu in July. It forced WWE's hand by getting RVD to drop both titles to Edge and Big Show respectively on the July 3rd and 4th editions of Raw and ECW. Who knows, how long RVD would have held both titles, had he not been caught by the cops.
6 Triple H - WWF & WCW World Heavyweight Champion (2002)
The Game, Triple H returned to the WWE as a face on the January 7, 2002 episode of Raw. He was out of action for eight months as he tore his left quadriceps in May 2001. Nevertheless, Triple H was once again inserted into the World Championship picture as he won the 2002 Royal Rumble match for the first time.
Triple H dethroned Chris Jericho in the main event of WrestleMania X8 to win the Undisputed WWF Championship. For a brief period, The Game would hold the WWF Championship and the inactive Big Gold Belt, which he would be the first man to hold six months later when it was reactivated as the World Heavyweight Championship.

It was a dismal reign for Triple H with the belts as he would-be champion for just 35 days. He would lose the title to Hulk Hogan at Backlash 2002. During this time, the title was merged into just one new WWF Championship belt.
5 John Cena - WWE World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
John Cena's 12th reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion started at Money in the Bank 2014. He won an eight-man Ladder match for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Daniel Bryan relinquished the gold at the start of June 2014 with a legitimate neck injury. Cena was the penultimate World Heavyweight champion but he was reunited with that Championship along with the WWE Championship.
The leader of the Cenation had a successful title defense against Kane, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns, the following month at Battleground. Cena was taken to Suplex City by Brock Lesnar in the main event of SummerSlam 2014. Lesnar decimated the champ, taking his title away in emphatic fashion, ending Cena's run with the belts at 49 days.
4 Daniel Bryan - WWE World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
In 2014, Daniel Bryan's popularity in the WWE skyrocketed. The WWE cashed in on Bryan's newfound popularity, elevating him back into the main event scene. Bryan had flirted with two brief WWE Championship and a World Heavyweight Title run in the past.
The Yes Movement was in full swing at WrestleMania XXX. He defeated Triple H to qualify for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event with champion Randy Orton and Batista. Bryan overcame the former Evolution men to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan's lone title defense was against his former Team Hell No partner, Kane, at Extreme Rules.
Bryan retained the title but unfortunately, retirement was looming as he had nagging injuries. It forced Bryan to vacate the title, 65 days later on June 9, 2014, on Raw in a tearful moment for fans and Bryan alike.
3 Randy Orton - WWE World Heavyweight Champion (2013-14)
The latter half of 2013 was all about Randy Orton and The Authority. A reinvigorated Orton reverted to his heel persona, where arguably his best work has been in that role. The Viper's eighth reign as WWE Champion began at Hell in a Cell in October 2013. He defeated Daniel Bryan to once again be the top dog in the WWE. Orton was not stopping there as he made history at TLC 2013. His rivalry was renewed with World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, and the winner would be crowned as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Orton would hold both titles, in the process, thus becoming the final World Heavyweight Champion. Orton's fourth reign was brief as the title was retired immediately. The Legend Killer would carry both belts for four months, until WrestleMania XXX. It was one of Orton's best World Championship runs as he defeated the likes of Big Show, Cena, Bryan, Cesaro, Christian, and Sheamus.
2 Chris Jericho - WWF & WCW World Heavyweight Champion (2001-02)
Chris Jericho was solidified as a main eventer in 2001. The conclusion of the Invasion storyline had two World Championships in the WWE. Therefore, a tournament was held at Vengeance 2001 to merge the WWF and WCW titles.
Jericho would defeat The Rock to win the World Championship, and Stone Cold Steve Austin would defeat Kurt Angle earlier on in the night to retain the WWF Championship. Y2J made history by becoming the first-ever Undisputed WWF Champion after defeating Austin in the main event. It is one of Jericho's greatest achievements as he defeated two of the greatest superstars of all-time in back-to-back matches.
Jericho would retain the title in subsequent matches against The Rock at the 2002 Royal Rumble and against Austin at No Way Out. His reign would last 98 days as he lost to Triple H in a terrible main event at WrestleMania 18, which followed The Rock and Hulk Hogan's five-star classic.
1 Brock Lesnar - WWE World Heavyweight Champion (2014-15)
No one's stock was higher than Brock Lesnar's in 2014. Lesnar shocked the world by ending The Undertaker's 23-year unbeaten streak at WrestleMania XXX. He was the one behind the one in 21-1 as his manager Paul Heyman would repeat every chance he would get to remind the WWE Universe. The Beast Incarnate turned his attention to John Cena's WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2014.
Credit to Cena as he allowed Lesnar to dominate this match and made The Beast look like an animal. The birth of Suplex City was at SummerSlam, and Lesnar would suplex Cena an astonishing 16 times. Lesnar executed his F-5 to become a four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The Beast Incarnate was the final man to hold both titles because the following night on the August 18th episode of Monday Night Raw, Lesnar was presented a new WWE Championship. His reign on top lasted a whopping 224 days, losing the title to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31 in an impromptu Money in the Bank cash-in, during his match with Roman Reigns.
