Animal Crossing: How To Get All Deer Villagers

Animal Crossing New Horizons has a total of twelve Deer villagers players can obtain. Here are all the ways players can obtain them.

Animal Crossing New Horizons All Deer Villagers

While Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a total of 413 potential villagers, players will often have a few with a special place in their hearts. These villagers will likely be a high priority when it comes to finding villagers to move onto their island. For those who love Deer villagers, filling an island with hooved friends may be the way they want to go.

There are a total of twelve different Deer villagers players can invite to move onto their island in New Horizons. These Deers all vary in visual aesthetic and personality type, and many have been in the Animal Crossing series for several years already. The most recent New Horizons update also came with a new traditional Japanese-inspired Deer named Shino.

Animal Crossing New Horizons has 35 different species of animals that players can encounter. When going to a Mystery Island that will have a villager, the villager species is determined first randomly, followed by a random villager within that species. This means that when going to a Mystery Island, players will have a 1/35 chance of encountering a Deer villager.

Every Deer Villager in Animal Crossing and How to Get Them

Animal Crossing Shino Deer Villager

The twelve Deer villagers in Animal Crossing include Bam, Beau, Bruce, Chelsea, Deirdre, Diana, Erik, Fauna, Fuchsia, Lopez, Shino, and Zell. Half of these villagers are male and half are female. There’s also a wide variety of personality types within the species, including two sisterly, two smug, two lazy, one jock, two normal, one snooty, one peppy, and one cranky villager. The most common way to obtain one’s desired villager in Animal Crossing New Horizons is to go villager hunting. Once the player has a villager move out of their house, they’ll have a day before the empty house is sold. As long as players have one of these empty houses on their island, which can be checked by clicking on the house to make sure no new villager has claimed it, they’ll be able to move a new character in.

To go villager hunting, players need to use Animal Crossing's Nook Miles Tickets at the Dodo airport to fly to a Mystery Island with a randomly generated villager. If the villager is one that the player wants on their island, they can talk to them to convince them to move in. If the villager is an unwanted one, players need to repeat the process of going to Mystery Islands until they run into a villager they want. While this process is relatively simple, it can be incredibly time-consuming. There are a few other methods to ensure players get the Deer villager they want as fast as possible. Those who have Nintendo Online can use the website Nookazon to find players selling their villagers. Players will usually take a combination of Bells and Nook Miles Tickets in exchange for a villager.

The final way players can get a specific Deer villager they want is by using their Animal Crossing Amiibo Card. These can be purchased individually or in Amiibo packs at many common retail stores. Players can use these Amiibo Cards in Animal Crossing to summon a specific villager to their campsite, making this the quickest way to invite the desired villager onto the player’s island.
