Alexa Bliss Reacts To Being Labeled Sister Abigail

Fans haven't been reacting well to the Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules, apart from the moment where Alexa Bliss made a surprise appearance.

Sunday night's Extreme Rules ended with the Swamp Fight between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt. While the overwhelming reaction to the cinematic match appears to be one of disappointment, it certainly had its moments. Wyatt emerging from the swamp and being reborn as The Fiend to close the show was a particular highlight for us, at least.

That wasn't our favorite moment from the match though, nor was it the one that has been talked about most since the show ended. That honor goes to someone who wasn't supposed to be in the match at all, and someone we would not have picked to make a cameo in the match had we been given 100 guesses. Alexa Bliss.

An apparition of Bliss wearing a veil appeared before Strowman and spoke of a time when they could have been together. For newer fans or those who didn't watch the Mixed Match Challenge (so almost everyone), WWE once teased a romantic angle between Bliss and Strowman. It didn't get much air time on WWE's mainstream TV shows, and ultimately never wound up leading to anything.

Chances are Strowman and Bliss's brief will-they won't-they wasn't what popped into the heads of most viewers on Sunday night. It would have been something along the lines of "wait, is Bliss Sister Abigail?" That appears to be the pattern that emerged on social media, and it's a pattern Bliss seems to like the sound of. The SmackDown Superstar spent some time after the show retweeting quite a few of the tweets that suggest she might be the human manifestation of Wyatt's evil puppet.

The tease as to who Sister Abigail might be if WWE ever decided to have someone fill the role has been going on for years. Some of the Superstars fans have picked for the role include Paige, Sarah Logan, and even Bliss's tag team partner, Nikki Cross. We like that role for Bliss, though. The trouble is, even though Bliss appears to like the idea, chances are she was only used at Extreme Rules as a way for Wyatt to mess with Strowman's head.
