10 Gets Along With: Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens played a huge role in Cody Rhodes becoming a breakout star in between his WWE stints. A friendship between the two formed when Cody was in WWE during his first tenure as Stardust. However, his desire to leave led to Owens reaching out to the Young Bucks and telling them to look out for Cody.

The Young Bucks trusting Rhodes due to Owens’ word led to him joining the Bullet Club when New Japan pitched the idea. Cody’s friendship with the Bucks and others led to AEW starting via The Elite. The two seemed to be friendly in the early 2010s until Punk shared a negative story about Owens’ experience at a restaurant. KO’s close friends having heat with Punk likely played into his savage tweet showing a photo of his WrestleMania main event with Steve Austin.
