5 Bray Wyatt Quotes That Make No Sense (& 5 That Are Great)
There's no argument that Bray Wyatt is one of the best talkers in WWE. While he doesn't have sing-a-longs with the crowd like The Rock or get fans chanting "What" after every sentence, when Wyatt does speak, the fans listen to every word that comes out of his mouth.

But over the years, fans have had to listen to some peculiar promos from the Eater Of Worlds that have left them scratching their head as to what it all means. Wyatt has often referred to himself as a prophet, and while many of his quotes have helped progress a story in a unique way, others have left fans shouting "What' inside their head.
10 Makes No Sense: "You Will Remember Me For What I Truly Am: A God!" (Raw, May 5, 2014)
In his first rivalry with the face of WWE, John Cena, Wyatt would go on a diatribe about being described as a monster. The promo went around in circles with the Eater Of Worlds explaining how Cena would call him a monster, that he is a monster, and then instead of a monster, he'll be remembered as a God. It wasn't clear the point that Wyatt was trying to make and seemed like an excuse for him to sing He's Got The Whole World In His Hands over and over again.
9 Great: "Her Touch Could Save The World, But Her Kiss Burns It To The Ground" (Raw, August 26, 2013)
Whenever Wyatt speaks about Sister Abigail, his eyes light up, and he talks with clarity. He muttered this line during a promo video for The Wyatt Family's debut on the main roster. The creepy vignettes set the tone for what was to come to Raw and SmackDown and the mythology the group had created in NXT. This haunting line on Sister Abigail also introduced Wyatt's finishing move and explained why he kissed the forehead of every victim before driving their head into the mat.
8 Makes No Sense: "You May Call Me Bray Wyatt. But I Have A Thousand Faces And A Million Names" (SmackDown, July 4, 2014)
When The Wyatt Family suddenly ambushed Chris Jericho on an episode of Raw, fans got excited by the prospects of a rivalry between Y2J and the Eater Of Worlds. Sadly, the feud never got out of first gear, and the expectations of fantastic promos back and forth between two of the best talkers quickly dissipated. While Wyatt's references to Jericho's "Save Us Y2J" vignettes were memorable, the promos took a turn when he started describing himself as a supernatural being.
7 Great: "Be Careful Inviting The Devil Into Your Backyard Because He May Just Like It" (SmackDown, January 31, 2014)
When The Wyatt Family locked eyes with The Shield, fans erupted before either team threw a punch. The rivalry also brought out some of the best promos from both factions.

The Hounds Of Justice dismissed the supernatural aura of The Wyatt Family and promised to dismantle them one by one. But Wyatt would warn Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns to be careful about what they wished for, but more menacingly by referring to himself as the devil. It was quotes like these that helped build anticipation for their matches.
6 Makes No Sense: "I Am Already Dead" (SmackDown, August 9, 2013)
On two separate occasions, Bray Wyatt has told his opponent that he's already dead. He made Kane aware of his mortality first as a way to explain why the Big Red Machine couldn't hurt him. Based on the success of that interaction, Wyatt would quote the line again during his first rivalry with Daniel Bryan. It was also a way to explain why Bryan couldn't damage him. With a dead man character already on the roster, it made no sense for Wyatt to take this angle to build a feud.
5 Great: "I Am The Color Red, In A World Full Of Black & White" (SmackDown, March 21, 2014)
One of the few standout quotes from Wyatt's promos with Chris Jericho was that he was the color red in a world of black and white. Fans wondered if Wyatt was taking a jab at the roster and commenting on how he stood out amongst other wrestlers with bland characters. Did he deliberately bury his peers in a similar way to Y2J when he debuted in WWE? The quote got fans talking, and it stood out amongst some of the other lines in Wyatt's promos with Jericho.
4 Makes No Sense: "I'm A Boxcar & A Pack Of Matches" (Raw, June 3, 2013)
As the cult leader, Wyatt would regularly borrow famous phrases from similar real-life figures. One of these happened to be Charles Manson, and one of the quotes that Wyatt used was that he was a boxcar and a pack of matches.

While the line helped draw comparisons to Wyatt as a cult leader who had an almost hypnotic way of gaining followers, it seemed like a throwaway line in a vignette to hype the arrival of The Wyatt Family to Raw.
3 Great: "I Will Build My Empire Next To The Sea, So I Can Laugh From My Throne As My Enemies Drown" (Raw, February 3, 2014)
Another menacing quote from Wyatt to The Shield referenced his enemies drowning as he sat upon his throne. The line painted a picture of a war on par with something out of Game Of Thrones. It conjured images of an epic fight between two of the most popular factions at the time and helped build anticipation for their collision at Elimination Chamber. The quote also served as a warning to future opponents of the Eater Of Worlds that he was creating a movement and would destroy anyone who chose not to follow him.
2 Makes No Sense: "Mercy Is Calling You By Name. I Am The Reaper. And I Am Going To Put You Down" (Raw, May 19, 2014)
This promo to John Cena started strong. He compared Cena to a thoroughbred horse that does nothing but win and claim championships. But then that horse starts to slow down. This was when Wyatt went off the rails and referenced mercy and called himself The Reaper. It was unclear if the Eater Of Worlds was referring to Waylon Mercy, who performed a similar gimmick to Wyatt, or something else entirely. Sadly, it seemed like another case of a strong start to a promo, but Wyatt couldn't stick the landing.
1 Great: "The Wolf Will Never Lose Sleep, Worrying About The Feelings Of Sheep. But No-One Ever Told The Sheep, That They Outnumber The Wolves" (Raw, July 1, 2013)
With the exception of "Follow The Buzzards," "Let Me In," and "Run," this is considered one of the greatest lines that Wyatt has prophesized in his career. Wolves and sheep are a common theme for Wyatt, but this line was delivered in a haunting way that could have only come from the mouth of the Eater Of Worlds. It's scripted in a way to make you stop and question the actions of sheep and wolves and how we all fit into the analogy. The quote is a popular inspirational meme and can be found on many mental well-being websites.
