5 AEW Wrestlers Triple H Would Book Better (& 5 He Wouldn't)
Fans of both WWE and AEW will likely argue all day about who the better booker is between Tony Khan and Triple H, though supporters on both sides would be wise to admit that not everything is perfect in their preferred company.

When looking at the AEW roster, there are several wrestlers who perhaps aren’t being booked the best, and if they were in WWE under Triple H’s management, it is easy to imagine them being booked better. There are also those who are far better off in AEW under Tony Khan, and if they were booked by Triple H, things wouldn’t be going as well for them.
10 Would Book Better: Athena
Athena may be reigning as ROH Women’s World Champion, but in terms of AEW her booking has been very underwhelming. She was lost in the shuffle very quickly to the point where she needed a heel turn and moved to a new show to find her feet.
Athena was a favorite of Triple H in WWE, naturally climbing the ranks as a great babyface in NXT. Tony Khan failed Athena as a babyface in AEW, whereas Triple H would fare a lot better.
9 Wouldn’t Book Better: CM Punk
It is no secret that CM Punk and Triple H are not the biggest fans of one another. Whilst CM Punk was a big main event guy in WWE when he was there, it is hard to imagine Triple H making him a world champion again.
In AEW, CM Punk has been treated like a big deal, won the AEW World Championship twice, and has had some of the best storylines ever. For instance, his feud with MJF was arguably better than anything Punk did in WWE.
8 Would Book Better: Powerhouse Hobbs
Powerhouse Hobbs has the mold of a WWE superstar. Impressive size, agility, and the ability to play the big man in a convincing manner screams of everything WWE would want.
In AEW, Tony Khan has proven to be not able to handle Powerhouse Hobbs, with a poor TNT Championship reign and awful alliance with QT Marshall. Triple H would make Hobbs a star in WWE, and it is easy to imagine him being someone who Triple H sees a lot of himself in terms of size and potential.
7 Wouldn’t Book Better: Sting
Triple H is known to have a lot of backstage sway, and if he really wanted to, he could’ve well convinced Vince McMahon to let Sting go over in their match at WrestleMania 31. However, he didn’t, and it is easy to imagine Triple H not caring for Sting if he was in WWE.
In AEW, he has been treated like a special attraction and absolute star, and it is doubtful that he would have been even given the chance to wrestle again if he decided instead to go to WWE and compete under the creative control of Triple H.
6 Would Book Better: Keith Lee
Keith Lee became the face of NXT under Triple H. He was utilized well, given good storylines, and won titles. In AEW, he hasn’t quite had the same sort of luck.

Sure, his time in AEW has been better than his main roster WWE run, but that was before Triple H took control. It is easy to imagine Keith Lee feeling more special under the man that made him both North American and NXT Champion at the same time.
5 Wouldn’t Book Better: The Acclaimed
The Acclaimed are clearly given a lot of freedom in AEW, something that even under the seemingly more lenient ruling of Triple H, they wouldn’t have as much of. The Acclaimed can push the boat out, be silly, and get funny phrases over.
Things are a lot more micro-managed in WWE, and it is hard to imagine even the former DX member of Triple H allowed “scissoring” to be said live on air on WWE television. Tony Khan listened to the fans’ natural support for The Acclaimed growing, but Triple H has shown with the likes of Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and LA Knight, that he won’t pull the trigger even if fans are reacting in a certain way.
4 Would Book Better: Miro
Miro’s booking in AEW has been stop-start. Ever since his recent return he has gone for sometimes weeks without appearing, only coming back on TV for a quick squash match with zero storyline development.
In WWE, he would be on TV more regularly, likely being able to showcase his talents more. Whilst his time in WWE previously ended on a sour note, Triple H would book him better than Vince McMahon and also arguably better than Tony Khan at this point.
3 Wouldn’t Book Better: Jamie Hayter
It must be said that overall, the women’s division in WWE is treated with more respect, given better storylines, and presented more like stars. However, for someone like Jamie Hayter, her style of wrestling fits in far more with AEW’s women’s division, doing her talking via her in-ring work.
Hayter got over on her talents alone, and under Triple H in WWE, she wouldn’t have gotten as red-hot. The AEW crowds respond more to great matches, and this is how she rose the ranks to become AEW Women’s World Champion.
2 Would Book Better: Malakai Black
Malakai Black may have won the Trios World Titles with his House of Black faction, but his time in AEW has been majorly underwhelming.

He was a top singles star in Triple H’s NXT, and it is easy to imagine him strapping the rocket to his former face of developmental if he was in WWE. Darker characters have generally worked better in WWE than AEW, and that would be the case here.
1 Wouldn’t Book Better: Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley is given so much freedom in AEW that he could never even have dreamed of having anything similar in WWE. Even under Triple H, Moxley would be given far less freedom, worse storylines, constrained to certain match types, and not be himself.
There is zero way Triple H, Vince McMahon, or anyone else in WWE would handle Moxley better than he has been treated by Tony Khan and in AEW.
