While there are many legends that Vince McMahon could induct, certain names do seem well suited for next year.Updated on December 16th, 2021 by Tevon King: WrestleMania season is traditionally the most exciting time of the year to be a wrestling fan. There are several events for fans to enjoy, and the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony has been a part of the WrestleMania package since 2004. However, what makes the Hall of Fame so great to watch, is to see iconic legends be introduced back into WWE, and etching their name in history as being part of the WWE Hall of Fame. It's always a strong topic of discussion about who gets inducted into the Hall of Fame but there are only a few spots typically reserved each year.

14 * Victoria

Victoria WWE Cropped

Victoria is one of the greatest female in-ring performers to grace a WWE ring. She is extremely athletic, and she made a surprising return to WWE in the 2021 women's Royal Rumble match. It was a one-night deal since Victoria has retired from professional wrestling. However, the two-time WWE Women's Champion is well long overdue for a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Her career is Hall of Fame worthy, and fellow two-time Women's Champion Molly Holly got inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. Victoria is often at the top of many fans' lists about female wrestlers who should be going into the Hall of Fame. It is only a matter of time and 2022 could be the year she's recognized for her efforts.

13 * William Regal

William Regal King of the Ring Cropped

William Regal has never won a WWE World Championship which is surprising as he could work inside the ring, and he could cut one heck of a promo. Nevertheless, Regal has excelled in several roles whether it be comedic or as an Authority figure.

Regal has been a pivotal part of the success of NXT as the General Manager. Regal's accolades speak for themselves, and winning the 2008 King of the Ring tournament is amongst the highlights of his career. Regal is one of the greatest British wrestlers of all time, and fans would not begrudge seeing Regal earning his spot in the Hall of Fame.

12 * Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool 1st Women's Championship Reign 2009 Cropped

Women's wrestling wasn't great towards the end of the Ruthless Aggression era but Michelle McCool steadied the ship as an excellent women's wrestler. McCool is a four-time Women's Champion as she won both the Divas Championship and WWE Women's Championship on two separate occasions.

Since WrestleMania 38 is taking place in Texas, it makes logical sense for McCool to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. She's married to The Undertaker, and they currently reside in Texas. Moreover, McCool has competed in a couple of women's Royal Rumble matches as a surprise entrant, and she could still perform at a high level if she wanted to come out of retirement.

11 * APA

APA Cropped

The APA are one tag team where both members have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame individually. WWE has inducted tag teams into the Hall of Fame, and it's not uncommon for wrestlers to go into the Hall of Fame twice for their careers as singles and tag team competitors.

JBL earned his spot in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 although he was supposed to go into it in 2020 both classes of 2020 and 2021 went in together because of COVID-19. Ron Simmons was inducted in 2012 by JBL. The APA are one of the most popular tag teams, and they deserve to go into the Hall of Fame as a team. Especially with JBL being a native of Texas, they would receive a huge reception from the fans.

10 Batista

Batista Royal Rumble 2014 Cropped

Batista was originally supposed to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2020, but WWE pulled the event due to COVID-19. He was then unable to attend the show in 2021, therefore he postponed his induction, which means that it is going to happen at some stage.

WWE and Batista will likely be keen to get things sorted, therefore it could be expected that the Animal will find himself being inducted in 2022. It's something everybody is excited to see, and given that he is now a major Hollywood star, this would bring in some eyes from outside of WWE as well.

9 Chavo Guerrero

Chavo Guerrero

The Guerrero family has ties with Texas, with this being the place that many members were born, including Chavo Guerrero. Because of that, it makes sense that WWE would want to add another person from this incredible family into the Hall Of Fame.

Chavo might not have reached the heights that Eddie did within the wrestling world, but he certainly had a career that was worthy of this honor. He held plenty of championships and had some fantastic moments throughout his time with the company, and it would be great to see him inducted.

8 Shad Gaspard (Warrior Award)

Shad Gaspard

The Warrior Award is something that is relatively new to the Hall Of Fame, with this being something reserved for people who do extraordinary acts of kindness and show exemplary bravery. Shad Gaspard has certainly ticked that box due to the manner in which he sadly lost his life.

He saved his son with his final act and it is something that the entire wrestling world showcased their respect and love for. Gaspard was a popular member of the WWE roster during his career as well, and that would make this a popular decision amongst fans.

7 Lemmy Kilmister (Celebrity Inductee)

Lemmy playing Triple H's entrance live

WWE always inducts a celebrity name into the Hall Of Fame each year and Lemmy Kilmister is a name that most fans have been expecting to be inducted for some time. He is somebody who had a huge impact on Triple H's career, playing the music for three of his entrance songs.

Because of that, he has certainly earned the right to be part of WWE's celebrity wing. It would be a way of getting Triple H onto the shows across WrestleMania weekend, and considering how close they were as friends, he would no doubt give a brilliant speech.

6 Umaga

Something else that WWE typically does at the Hall Of Fame each year is honor someone who has sadly passed away, and this time it could be Umaga. He is a very memorable wrestler and someone who certainly earned his place amongst the greats.

The chances are that The Bloodline are going to have a major part to play in WrestleMania next year, and that would also link in well and make this the perfect time for Umaga to be inducted, as he is part of that family. Having The Usos get the chance to induct their uncle, the man who convinced them to become wrestlers would be a touching moment that is fitting of this ceremony.

5 Paige

Paige WWE SmackDown

Paige's in-ring career, unfortunately, came to end far sooner than she deserved due to injury, but there is no doubt that she made a big enough impact to have earned a spot in WWE's Hall Of Fame. She made a huge impact on the women's evolution and because of that, it would be great to see her inducted.

With speculation about her contract coming to an end, this type of honor could be a method of keeping her within the company, possibly for a Legends deal. But either way, Paige would be a great option to place into the Hall Of Fame in 2022.

4 Carlito

Carlito United States Champion

Carlito made a surprise return to WWE during the 2021 Royal Rumble, which is something that audiences absolutely loved. Fans thought it might lead to a longer deal like MVP has enjoyed, however, that wasn't the case in the end.

But WWE and Carlito clearly have a relationship in place and therefore he would be a popular option to be in the Hall Of Fame. He is a memorable wrestler that has earned his slot in the elite group, and after recently appearing, it would be a good time for WWE to make this happen.

3 Lex Luger

Lex Luger Nitro August 4, 1997 Cropped

Lex Luger is somebody that absolutely deserves a slot in the Hall Of Fame, having put together an amazing career over his time in the ring. He certainly achieved a lot in both WWE and WCW, which is why he should now be given the Hall Of Fame ring.

He would be a very popular wrestler for fans to see, especially since it is very rare that he makes appearances with WWE. Fans haven't seen him for a while in WWE and therefore this could be a great moment during the ceremony.

2 Rick & Scott Steiner, The Steiner Brothers

The Steiner Brothers Cropped

Every year a tag team is inducted into the Hall Of Fame, and The Steiner Brothers would be an excellent option for 2022. They have certainly deserved to be part of this elite group, being one of the best tag teams of all time with their hard-hitting in-ring style being a joy to watch.

While they have some serious backstage issues to sort out with the company in order to make this happen, WWE has done deals with people they've fallen out with in the past. Considering Bron Breakker is enjoying a huge push in NXT right now, this could be a great time to make amends.

1 The Undertaker (Headliner)

wrestlemania-undertaker-return

The headline induction is always the person that drives the ticket sales for the Hall Of Fame ceremony, and few would do it better than The Undertaker. Given that WrestleMania is in Texas next year, it couldn't be more perfect than for the Deadman to get his well-deserved induction.

After having to retire with no fans present, he has earned the first major headline slot when they return and hearing his speech would be an amazing moment for everybody in the wrestling industry. Plus, this would allow WWE to feature him at WrestleMania as well, either just to do an epic entrance or to have a small segment with younger talent.
