11 WWE Divas Champions: Where Are They Now?
While mostly forgotten today, the Divas Championship was a big deal for WWE in the 2010s. This secondary belt could be used to boost women up before the Women's Revolution took over, and some titleholders did go on to bigger fame afterward. The belt finally ended with Charlotte in 2016, being replaced at WrestleMania 32 for what would become the RAW Women’s title, but for those years, it was still held by some fun workers.

A few former Divas Champions are still with WWE, like Beth Phoenix and Maryse. Others are active elsewhere, such as Mickie James in TNA. Some ladies have chosen to retire from the business but still seem to enjoy their time as champions. While not every titleholder was respected by fans, they did hold gold in WWE to stand out from the pack. Without further ado, here’s what 11 former Divas Champions are up to in 2021.
10 Brie & Nikki Bella (The Bella Twins)
Forever linked together, Brie and Nikki Bella each held the Divas Title. Brie held it for 70 days in 2011, while Nikki’s second reign of 301 days is the longest in the title’s history. The pair finally left WWE in 2019. Their Total Bellas show was recently canceled.
They got press in 2020 when each gave birth within 22 hours of the other. The pair still host a podcast, a wine brand, a clothing brand, and to top it all off, they most recently showed up on The Bachelorette. While they’re each happy with their own lives, the Bellas will always be joined in other ventures.
9 AJ Lee
A standout female wrestler before the Women's Revolution, AJ Lee had the most combined days of any champion (406 spread over three reigns) and was notable for slamming the very “Divas” concept. Her persona and outfits had fans on her side to make her one of the most popular workers around. In 2014, she tied the knot with CM Punk, marrying The Straight Edge Savior.

Since retiring in 2015 due to a bad neck, Lee has been outspoken about mental health issues and launched her own production company. She made headlines recently by joining the Women of Wrestling promotion and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a great in-ring comeback.
8 Layla
After dancing for everyone from the Miami Heat to Kayne West, Layla moved to WWE, going from the Extreme Exposé to being a manager for William Regal. She was the final holder of the original Women’s Championship. Layla is most known for her partnership with Michelle McCool, collectively known as LayCool. After time off for injury, Layla won the Divas Title in 2012 for a 140-day reign.
Retiring in 2015, Layla is now a real estate agent. She also made an appearance at October's Legends of the Ring 2021 convention. Layla is an advocate for breast cancer research after losing her mother to it. She's no longer an active competitor in the ring, but the British star still knows how to turn heads.
7 Alicia Fox
One of the longest-serving Divas ever, Alicia Fox started with OVW way back in 2006. During her tenure, she was a wedding planner, a manager, and is notable for her wild outfits. She also got attention starring on Total Divas as well as her 56-day run as Divas Champ in 2010.

Fox finally left the company in 2019 and has been keeping a lower profile in the last year with fewer posts on social media. She did pop up at the 2021 Royal Rumble (where she managed to win the 24/7 title) and WrestleMania 37, yet the Foxy One has been surprisingly quiet on her life for the last several months.
6 Kelly Kelly
After time as a model, Kelly Kelly was hired by WWE with the gimmick of an exhibitionist in ECW. She moved into various storylines and feuds, adjusting as a wrestler for four months as Divas Champion. Leaving WWE in 2012, Kelly did return for the 2018 Royal Rumble and in 2019 very briefly held the 24/7 Title.
Barbie Blank now does modeling for PrettyLittleThing and over a million people enjoy watching her steamy Instagram posts. Her hair may be darker, but Kelly still knows how to draw attention from the masses.
5 Kaitlyn
Underrated among Divas of her time, Celeste Beryl Bonin started in NXT back when it was a game show (which included a hilarious Vickie Guerrero impression) before joining the main roster. She had a good 153-day reign as Divas champ in 2013 but left in 2014

She’s made a few appearances for WWE and is the current Slamforce Champion on the indies. She currently runs “Project This Is Me,” empowering others in self-love while sharing some steamy photos with her boyfriend. It appears Kaitlyn has chosen to put herself first while also encouraging others to be themselves, which fits her in-ring persona well.
4 Jillian Hall
Jilian Hall’s run in WWE was always odd. She began as an assistant to JBL, notable for a hideous “growth” on her face that the Boogeyman bit off. She then segued into the gimmick of a would-be diva with a horrible singing voice. Jillian did win the Divas Title...and lost it immediately thereafter to Melina.
Hall left in 2010 and retired in 2013, although she did pop up at the 2021 Royal Rumble. Hall makes occasional appearances on the independent circuit but otherwise has settled into being a mom and leaving her Diva (both wrestling and singing) days behind her.
3 Melina
Starting as a manager, Melina stood out for her famous split-legged slide into the ring. She soon transformed into a highly effective wrestler who held the Women’s Title three times and the Divas Championship twice.
While known for some backstage issues, Melina was still a popular worker before leaving in 2011. Unlike others on this list, Perez is still active, bouncing between NWA and Impact Wrestling, still showing her in-ring skills. She hasn’t ruled out a return to WWE down the line. And yes, she can still pull off that entrance.
2 Eve Torres
A former dancer, Eve Torres won the 2007 Diva Search and soon moved to in-ring competition. She made history as the first woman to hold the Divas Title three times. She's also known for her work as an evil authority figure and being part of a love triangle with John Cena and Zack Ryder.
Torres chose to leave in 2013 to focus on her marriage and become an instructor for the Gracie Women Empowered self-defense program. Torres has popped up in acting roles like Supergirl and currently holds self-defense seminars with husband Rene Gracie. She’s also a dedicated mom to her two kids while reminding fans of the strong diva she once was.
1 Michelle McCool
Showing up on the 2004 Diva Search, Michelle McCool slowly shifted to being a decent in-ring competitor. She got major attention by joining Layla. LayCool was a terrific heel act. They were co-holders of the Women’s Title and the Divas Championship. McCool was at the 2018 Royal Rumble where she eliminated five competitors and the battle royal at the Evolution PPV later that year.
Today, McCool is happily retired, raising a child, and enjoying her marriage to The Undertaker. Their daughter was born in August 2012 and was given the name Kaia Faith Calaway. She hasn’t ruled out a return to the ring, but for now, she's more than happy being a full-time mother instead of hearing cheers from wrestling fans. Rather than performing in front of a crowd, McCool has become part of the audience, watching her daughter's volleyball games.
