10 Wrestlers You Won’t Believe Wrestled Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero was taken far too soon. Everyone remembers his matches with Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, and Dean Malenko, as well as his rivalries with his cousin Chavo and JBL. But throughout his career, Eddie also stood face to face with some of the biggest names in the business, and yet few people remember it.

Be it in WWE, WCW, and ECW, there are several notable encounters that have been completely forgotten. These are 10 superstars who were surprisingly blessed with the opportunity to wrestle the legendary Eddie Guerrero.
10 Lex Luger
Lex Luger was the first major acquisition by WCW to spite the WWE, appearing on the debut edition of WCW Nitro. During his time in WCW, Luger actually ended up wrestling Eddie Guerrero, occurring on an episode of Saturday Night in 1996.
Eddie came to the ring in glittery gear and wrestled as the babyface in the match, an unfamiliar position for the lyin', cheatin', stealin' Latino Heat. Eddie actually won the match via DQ, even after suffering through Luger's painful torture rack.
9 Edge
Though few remember it, Edge and Eddie Guerrero actually had a somewhat storied rivalry in 2002 when the latter returned to the WWE. They faced each other in numerous matches throughout the year, including a marquee bout at the WWE's second-biggest pay per view of the year, SummerSlam.
Their best encounter came on an episode of WWE SmackDown when they faced off in a No-DQ match that ended up bringing a ladder into proceedings. This is one of the most underrated matches in both Eddie and Edge's career, and one of Eddie's absolute best.
8 Matt & Jeff Hardy
Eddie and Matt Hardy found themselves across the ring from one another on several occasions during the early 2000s, including when new AEW signee Matt Hardy reimagined himself as Version 1. The two men even fought over the long-forgotten European Championship.
Not to be outdone, Jeff also had some forgotten matches with Eddie during his WWE career, including a 2002 match on WWE RAW when Eddie held the Intercontinental Championship.

Eddie put the belt on the line against Jeff, who failed to get the job done as Eddie made short work of the challenger with his signature frog splash, a tribute to his friend Art Barr.
7 Jeff Jarrett
Though Eddie never made the jump to Jarrett's TNA, where he'd likely have been a part of their X-Division, they did square off in WCW while both men were still with the company, and before Eddie made the right decision to leave for the WWE where he'd receive the push he rightfully deserved.
This was before Jarrett was a main-event player in WCW, but the two men had an enjoyable mid-card encounter before the standard WCW shenanigans took hold and desecrated the ending of the match with a pointless run-in.
6 Brian Pillman
During his early WCW career and before adopting his better known Latino Heat persona, Eddie Guerrero participated in a match with cult-favorite wrestler Brian Pillman when the latter was fully immersed in his Loose Cannon character.
This is a forgotten gem of a match between two of the most athletic stars to have entered the squared circle, with Eddie even picking up a rare WCW win outside of its cruiserweight division, which is where he found himself pigeon-holed for much of his time there. This match showed the immense potential both stars had at the time before both were tragically taken far too soon.
5 John Cena
Though they were the earlier days of Fast & Furious star John Cena's time in WWE, Eddie and Cena did meet on SmackDown throughout 2003 and 2004. They even entered into a rivalry that should be better remembered in Eddie's wrestling history. The two men wrestled in the famous parking lot brawl as well as a Latino Street Fight match back when John Cena was still rapping and Eddie was at his WWE peak.

It's a shame the two men couldn't face each other again when Cena was a bigger deal in the company, but it's an enjoyable feud to look back on with some underrated classics.
4 Steve Austin
In what would've been an absolute blockbuster of a main event at the right time in the WWE, Eddie Guerrero versus Stone Cold Steve Austin actually happened in 2000, shortly before Eddie would take a short hiatus and work the independent circuit.
At the time, Eddie was nowhere near the main-event spot he would later attain in the company, and Austin made short work of the star, forcing everyone who looks back to wonder how much better the match could've been if it had happened about three or four years later.
3 The Rock
During a 2002 episode of WWERAW, an arguably even more sought after dream match occurred when The Rock wrestled Eddie Guerrero. This was after Eddie had returned from his hiatus from the WWE and appeared a reinvigorated wrestler compared with his run in 2000.
Guerrero got a great deal of offense against The Rock during the 8-minute televised match, before ultimately falling to The People's Elbow. Its a shame these two weren't given more time to work with, but the fact the match happened at all is an absolute wrestling blessing.
2 Ric Flair
Eddie Guerrero and Ric Flair, in fact, wrestled against each other in both WWE and WCW. In WCW, they met in a televised match on WCW Nitro that ended when Ric Flair leveraged the ropes during a Figure 4 Leglock to force Eddie to tap.

In WWE, they met at the King Of The Ring pay-per-view event in 2002 in a considerably better and longer match that went over 15 minutes. Flair would again pick up the win over Eddie, this time thanks to interference by Bubba Ray Dudley who had recently begun his short-lived WWE singles career.
1 CM Punk
This is the most obscure entry on the list, as these matches occurred in 2002 before Eddie returned to the WWE, and even included an underappreciated triple-threat match that also featured Rey Mysterio.
CM Punk has often commented on how lucky he was to have been able to wrestle Guerrero during this time, and it's a phenomenal shame that the two men never got the chance to recreate the matches they had on the independent circuit in the WWE after Punk became a much bigger deal in the wrestling world.
