10 Wrestlers Fans Wanted Gone But Missed
Remember the old saying, "You never know what you got until it's gone?" That sums up how the WWE Universe feels when they express their dislike for a Superstar who then falls off the face of the earth for a period of time.
One may argue that in a company of over 50 superstars, it seems like we see the same performers every Raw, SmackDown, or pay-per-view, to the point their eyes roll just hearing the theme songs. However, giving fans time and a reason to miss the presence of a Superstar is the best way to build them up as a face or a heel.

While the company is building new stars, the return of some of these stars is still anticipated by the WWE Universe. Some have since returned from their brief hiatus, others have yet to speak on their return.
10 Keith Lee
Lee, while in NXT, was known as The Limitless One until he came to the main roster. From the change in his attire to his entry music, the main roster didn't do justice that was seen during his time in developmental and fans made that clear.

Lee hasn't been seen on television since prior to the Elimination Chamber and was removed from the triple threat match including Riddle and Bobby Lashley due to an undisclosed injury. Hopefully, upon his official return, we get his NXT persona with the new theme music that he mentioned that he was working on.
9 Shane McMahon
Known as the most popular McMahon, Shane definitely overstayed his welcome once he declared himself the best in the world and betrayed The Miz. Shane also got the go-home heat as he was used to help increase the ratings of Raw and SmackDown.
Shane is now back and is feuding with Braun Strowman and is once again a heel following the failed RAW Underground. Though Shane will always be welcomed back by the WWE Universe, he will always have that go-home heat if he continues to overstay his welcome.
8 Enzo Amore
As one of the most charismatic personas featured in recent WWE, Enzo along with Big Cass made waves from NXT to the main roster. Once he made the transition to the Cruiserweight Division, he became more arrogant which turned off the WWE Universe.

Since being released following accusations, Enzo made appearances in the crowd and even had them recite his monologue before being escorted out. Now with rumors of the company being interested in his return along with Big Cass, it will add more to the Tag Team Division if proven true.
7 Big Cass
As mentioned, the return of Cass along with Enzo is rumored but Cass has recently resurfaced lately along with a new toned and aggressive look in the indie scene.
Cass was released from WWE following the backstage heat of his personal troubles and not getting along with some of the other stars. His last feud featured Daniel Bryan prior to his release. If the rumors are proven true, he and Enzo will be welcomed back with open arms from fans. It will be refreshing if they leave their old gimmick in the past and keep their current indie style.
6 Eva Marie
Eva Marie had the looks to be the next star of the Women's Division, but her skills in the ring turned fans off to her making it on the main roster. Her matches became nothing but wardrobe malfunctions and a return to NXT before being released from the company.

There is speculation that she is set to return along with the top prospect, Brock Lesnar lookalike, Parker Boudreaux. It looks like she ditched the redhead gimmick and went to black. As she continued to train for a possible in-ring return, fans will look forward to what she brings.
5 John Cena
No matter where he goes or how many movies he makes, Cena will be associated with the WWE. He was mentioned to be featured at WrestleMania but due to a conflict in his schedule, he had to back out. Cena hasn't been seen in a wrestling ring since his Firefly Funhouse match against Bray Wyatt.
Though most fans may not want to admit it, they miss the excitement of Cena running to the ring. His return may be something the company wants to keep for a bigger crowd such as WrestleMania 38.
4 Seth Rollins
It was no secret prior to his leave due to Becky Lynch's pregnancy that fans have had a little much of Rollins on their screens, especially with the feud with the Mysterio family. During his babyface run, he received the go-home heat and became more so known as the guy dating Lynch.

Before leaving, he took on the persona of savior and continues the gimmick currently. He was gone for two months before his return at the Royal Rumble which received one of the biggest pops of the evening through online reactions.
3 Roman Reigns
Reigns was the one Superstar that was being crammed into fan's ears and eyes for years. Not even The Rock or Cena was able to sign off on him being the new top guy in the company.
When COVID-19 led to canceled events, Reigns said that for the sake of his health he will not participate in WrestleMania 36 to face Goldberg. During this time, fans were wondering if he will come back with everything going on. When he returned during SummerSlam and attacked The Fiend and Braun Strowman, the WWE Universe erupted as it was clear that he made the awaited heel turn.
2 Brock Lesnar
Lesnar is the most dominant performer in the company. After losing the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre, Lesnar hasn't been seen on television. Fans would've assumed that he would've returned by now but there is no sense of him coming back anytime soon.

Fans want Lesnar back to face off against Bobby Lashley in a dream match for the WWE Championship, but there's been no interest from Lesnar's side. Unlike others like Hulk Hogan or Goldberg, Lesnar is a person who can come and go and fans will embrace him every time.
1 Ronda Rousey
Rousey becoming part of the WWE received mixed reviews from fans. After being told she can't wrestle and getting booed by the audience, she expressed her grief towards them during a taping of Raw where she attacked Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
After being one of the first women to main event WrestleMania, she decided to leave to start a family. With the Women's Division being in the current state it's in, it was speculated that she was returning during the rumble.
Though her return alone won't save the Women's Division, it will bring some attention to it once again.
