10 Movies & TV Shows To See The Cast In The Future
From buddy road comedies and mainstream blockbusters to daring new TV shows, find out what the cast of Grace and Frankie has coming up in the future.
After seven seasons, Grace and Frankie walked off the beach into the sunset for the final time when the last episode aired on April 29, 2022. Gone but not forgotten, now that the show is over, it's time to look forward to what the magnificent ensemble has in the cards ahead. Those afraid of never seeing Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin work together again should not fret, as they have a pair of new joint projects in the works.
As for the other terrific actors like Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Lindsey Kraft, Ethan Embry, Baron Vaughn, and more, many of them have secured several exciting movies and TV projects that are currently in various stages of production.
Jane Fonda - Moving On (TBD)
It's heartening to learn that two-time Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda is neither slowing down nor parting from her longtime screen partner, Lily Tomlin. The two have a pair of movies in the works, with the comedy Moving On currently in post-production.
Written and directed by Paul Weitz, who already worked with Tomlin on the terrific movie Grandma, Moving On follows two lifelong friends who reunite at a funeral after many years apart and decide to mount a revenge campaign against the grieving widow they think ruined their lives years prior. Tailor-made for their mordant brand of humor, the film will also star Malcolm McDowell, Catherine Dent, and Richard Roundtree.
Lily Tomlin - Eighty For Brady (TBD)
Once fans catch Fonda and Tomlin in Moving On, stay tuned for the football road trip comedy Eighty for Brady, which pairs the two Grace and Frankie stars with Sally Field and Rita Moreno. Now currently filming, the story follows a gaggle of rabid NFL fans who make it their life mission to see Tom Brady play in the Super Bowl. Hopefully, it'll rival some of the best football movies ever made.
With a hilarious supporting cast that includes Ron Funches, Jimmy O. Yang, Sara Gilbert, and Bob Balaban, fans of both Fonda and Tomlin should be tickled to no end that the two have a pair of comedy movies in the works. Fonda will also voice a role in the upcoming animated film Luck for Apple and Skydance.
Sam Waterston - Law & Order Season 21 (May 19, 2022)
After playing the charming Sol Bergstein for seven seasons on Grace and Frankie, veteran character actor Sam Waterston fits right into his most well-known TV role like an old suit, playing D.A. Jack McCoy for the first time in 12 years during Law & Order's 21st season.
With two episodes remaining in the season, the finale will see McCoy but heads with Price (Hugh Dancy) on how to prosecute a charged criminal, once again pointing out the glaring generational differences between the two lawmen. In a career-defining role, Waterston has played the role for 378 episodes and counting.
Martin Sheen - Ramble On (TBD)
In one of his top roles, Martin Sheen gave a lovely turn as Robert Hanson on Grace and Frankie, Grace's ex and Sol's loving domestic and law partner. Moving forward, fans can see Sheen partake in Ramble On, the new TV series created by Entourage's Doug Ellin. Martin will co-star with his son, Charlie.
Also starring Entourage's Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connelly, Emmanuelle Chriqui, as well as Jamie-Lynn Sigler, John McGinley, and more, Ramble On follows a slew of Hollywood celebrities attempting to recapture past glory while new up and coming stars threaten to take their place. Not only will it be great to see Martin and Charlie Sheen work together again, but Ellen taking sharp aim at Hollywood once more is too good to miss.
Ethan Embry - Rites & Wrongs (TBD)
Ethan Embry played fan-favorite Coyote Bergstein on Grace and Frankie, the latter's lovable son with a heart of gold. The seasoned actor will bring his comedic chops to the upcoming feature film Rites & Wrongs, a dark comedy written and directed by Krystyna Loboda.
Also starring Loretta Divine and Dean Winters, Rites & Wrongs concerns a man on his death bed. When the man's home is set to be donated to the local church, his family hastily forges his last will and testament so they can keep their house intact. The film marks the debut feature for Loboda, who spent the first 10 years of her career as a production designer.
Baron Vaughn - Scroll Wheel Of Time (TBD)
As Frankie and Sol's adopted son Bud, Baron Vaughn stood out quite a bit on the hit Netflix original series. In addition to starring in the upcoming Time Capsule movie, Vaughn can be seen in the trippy hip-hop sci-fi-comedy series Scroll Wheel of Time. Indeed, timing is everything.
The upcoming Eko digital series follows a pair of budding Atlanta rappers who discover an old iPod is really a strange time-travel device. Each song they play sends them back in time to meet the musical artist who created it. Vaughn will play a character named Bill Robinson, though details are murky beyond that.
Lindsey Kraft - Pretty (TBD)
After playing Bud's romantic partner Allison for 27 episodes of Grace and Frankie, actress Lindsey Kraft is set to write and executive produce her next starring role. According to Deadline, Kraft will star in the upcoming CBS TV series Pretty, doing so alongside her real-life friend Santina Muha.

Pretty will follow a daring and passionate woman (played by Muha) who relocates from New Jersey to Los Angeles to find romance and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming the next Oprah Winfrey. Partly inspired by Muha's life story, the project is a personal one for both her and Kraft.
Peter Gallagher - Grey's Anatomy Season 18 (May 19-26)
As Grace's on-and-off-again boyfriend/husband Nick, one of the best characters added after season 1, Peter Gallagher made a lasting impression on Grace and Frankie. Looking ahead, he'll likely do more of the same as Dr. David Hamilton in the 18th season of the hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
Dr. Hamilton is the General Surgeon from Minnesota who briefly courts Meredith after inviting her to work on special treatment for Parkinson's. However, it's Hamilton's time working with Meredith's mother Ellis in 2003 that really provides insight into his character.
Michael McKean - Jerry And Marge Go Large (June 17, 2022)
The ubiquitous Michael McKean gave a hilarious turn as Jack Ayres in Grace and Frankie, the latter's bitter rival. Never out of work, McKean can be seen in the upcoming comedic biopic Jerry and Marge Go Large as well as the Hulu original series Reboot.
Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening star as the real-life Jerry and Marge Selbee, a married Massachusetts couple that finds a loophole in the lottery system and uses their massive winnings to refurbish their small town. McKean will play a character named Howard, although details are unknown. The film will stream on Paramount+ beginning June 17, 2002.
Scott Evans - Barbie (July 21, 2023)
Chris Evans' brother Scott appeared in multiple seasons of Grace and Frankie as Oliver, Sol and Robert's new young neighbor. Next on the docket for Scott is a little movie called Barbie, currently filming under the direction of Greta Gerwig.
Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, respectively, Barbie has one of the most star-studded ensembles in recent memory, including the likes of Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, and many more. Details about the plot have been kept shrouded, as has Evans' role in the movie.
