10 Matches Triple H Should Book For WWE Elimination Chamber 2023

The 2023 Royal Rumble event is now out of the way, and it played host to some major moments. Both Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley secured their spots in World Title matches at WrestleMania 39 by winning their respective Royal Rumble matches, the likes of Nia Jax, Logan Paul, and Chelsea Green made their returns to WWE television, and Sami Zayn finally broke away from Roman Reigns.

To ensure a strong Road to WrestleMania, there are several matches that should take place at Elimination Chamber 2023. Of course, not every single match will take place, but there are plenty of options for the upcoming PPV that Triple H should consider.

10 Becky Lynch Vs Bayley

At Raw 30, the match between Becky Lynch and Bayley was controversially cut from the show, much to the frustration of fans. Having a featured singles match on PPV instead could be a good consolation.

Whether it be inside a Steel Cage or not, Lynch and Bayley deserve some extended spotlight. It isn’t clear if this feud will stretch to WrestleMania, but Bayley is currently 1-0 in this feud, so a Lynch win here could set up a rubber match for Mania.

9 Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber

Often at the Elimination Chamber event, there are two Chamber matches on the show. The first should see The Usos defending their Undisputed Tag Team Titles. Their reign has been stellar so far, and a victory inside the chamber would add even more to their time as champions.

A field involving both Raw and SmackDown stars would be great, with the likes of Imperium, Alpha Academy, Judgment Day, Street Profits, Hit Row, and more all offering up what could be a very strong field.

8 Logan Paul Vs Ricochet

Judging by the Royal Rumble, Logan Paul could potentially be on his way to a match at WrestleMania against Seth Rollins. To add to some momentum and to bounce back from his last loss to Roman Reigns, he needs a win under his belt.

During the Royal Rumble match, Paul and Ricochet shared a stunning moment, as they each did a springboard from opposite sides of the ring and clashed mid-air. This alone is a good moment to build from and an excuse to have a match at Elimination Chamber, one where Paul can once again show off more of his athleticism.

7 Rhea Ripley & Finn Balor Vs Beth Phoenix & Edge

The seeds for this match were planted many months ago and then began to bloom at the Royal Rumble. Of course, Ripley will soon turn her head towards the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Title after her Rumble win, but in the meantime, getting a big win over two Hall of Famers would help her climb.

This match makes perfect sense, and it would also likely set up one more singles match between Edge and Finn Balor for WrestleMania 39.

6 Bianca Belair Vs Asuka

Many fans are hoping for a match between Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley for WrestleMania, but on the way to that show, Belair needs a major challenger to further elevate her brilliant run as Raw Women’s Champion.

Asuka recently returned to WWE television sporting what looks to be a new gimmick, and she could provide the perfect challenge to add some doubt into whether she will make it to WrestleMania still as champion.

5 Seth Rollins Vs Bobby Lashley

For months now, Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley have been at each other’s throats, but have yet to have a singles match on television. With both Brock Lesnar and Logan Paul likely to be part-timers on TV, a match between each other would be a great way to kill time before WrestleMania.

A Lashley win here would be important, as he needs it more ahead of his likely clash with Brock Lesnar, whereas a Rollins loss would help add some believability into Paul beating him, if they do indeed go in that direction.

4 Cody Rhodes Vs Solo Sikoa

The path between now and beginning a feud with Roman Reigns is a little unclear for Cody Rhodes, but there is one major obstacle that would be a good one to overcome on his way to WrestleMania.

Doing battle with the undefeated powerhouse of The Bloodline in Solo Sikoa, and being the one to get the better of him, could do wonders for his underdog babyface push to the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

3 GUNTHER Vs LA Knight

Following yet another star making performance, this time at the Royal Rumble, GUNTHER has a lot of momentum on his side. WWE should feature him at the Elimination Chamber PPV in yet another title defense.

WrestleMania should be saved for the likes of Sheamus and Drew McIntyre challenging for the IC Title, but this leaves little choice on the SmackDown side for the next PPV. LA Knight has turned a lot of heads recently during his feud with Bray Wyatt, so he should no doubt have something to do in the next few months. A feud and match with GUNTHER could have a great dynamic.

2 SmackDown Women’s Title Elimination Chamber

Thus far, Charlotte Flair’s reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion has felt incredibly lackluster based on the fact that she won the gold in underwhelming fashion. To build some real momentum behind her reign ahead of WrestleMania, a showcase at the Elimination Chamber could help.

Defeating five others on the roster could be a great way of making this title reign mean something when so many of her previous ones have fallen flat. Flair has never competed inside the Elimination Chamber, and WWE could work around this to build some intrigue and doubt into her title defense.

1 Roman Reigns Vs Sami Zayn

It is clear that Sami Zayn won’t be challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but fighting him in the main event of a PPV which takes place in his hometown is the best alternative.

WWE may have one of the most electric main events ever on their hands, and all signs point towards this being the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at the PPV. It may be the predictable route, but it is the correct one, and Triple H should aim towards booking what could be a special match in Montreal.
