10 Current AEW Entrance Theme Songs That Don't Fit The Wrestler At All
AEW features a ton of rising talent in the world of wrestling. Along with the many ways that the company has innovated what wrestling television could be, AEW also introduced some awesome entrance themes like Judas by Chris Jericho to the masses.

Although some wrestlers on the active AEW roster are currently using the best theme songs of their career, there are also plenty whose entrance theme music seems way out of place. This isn't to say that their theme is bad. It's just that some do not fit the gimmick or persona that the superstar is supposed to be presenting to the audience. This list will examine 10 current AEW entrance themes that do not fit their wrestler at all.
10 Orange Cassidy - "Jane"
Orange Cassidy is supposed to appear as a disinterested, almost smug wrestler. His gimmick works for the most part and the ways Cassidy's been able to innovate his in-ring performance to match his gimmick has been great.
He recently changed his entrance theme song and the current one, Jane by Jefferson Starship, just doesn't do him any justice. Instead of presenting him as somebody who is "cocky," it starts with a fanatical piano that just doesn't go with the denim that Cassidy uses in the ring. Yes, it's a song he's used before, and it's a great song just not for Cassidy.
9 Daniel Garcia - "Crimson Extinction"
Garcia has been given a huge platform multiple times and only time will tell if he'll continue to get big wins like the one he got over Brian Danielson.

Despite his success, he's struggled to find an identity among the packed AEW roster and his entrance theme does him no favors. Instead of leaning into the Dragon Slayer aspect or the "great wrestler" aspect of his persona, his current theme song could belong to any jobber.
8 Toni Storm - "Watch What's Next"
Toni Storm is a tremendous AEW talent. She's used a ton of tailor-made songs that have helped appeal to her fun approach as a wrestler. Her current song, Watch What's Next, does not do that for her.
It seems a better fit to help her get through a workout than to prepare the fans for her entrance to the ring. Any time a wrestling theme song rips off a big hit song, it usually doesn't work out in favor of the wrestler and her cheap rip-off of Barracuda is an example of that.
7 Jake Hager - "I Got 'Em Hurt"
Jake Hager's current entrance song is supposed to present someone who is an MMA fighter that is extremely aggressive since that's been Hager's gimmick at AEW. Although Hager dresses the part, he definitely doesn't uphold that gimmick in AEW and this causes his song to feel out of place.
For the most part, Hager doesn't even talk that much whenever he's in AEW. He goes from this in-your-face theme song, I Got 'Em Hurt, to an absolutely silent wrestler. The dichotomy is too big and it does not fit Hager at all.
6 Claudio Castagnoli - "Uppercut Swingphony"
Claudio was a great acquisition for AEW. Although he had a random (quick) run as ROH Champion, he does bring a lot to the table and has the potential to have a shot at the AEW Championship one day.
His current song, on the other hand, seems like something from a Christmas commercial. Instead of presenting this big brooding man that Claudio is, the second Uppercut Swingphony starts to play it feels like a montage of Hallmark Christmas movies is right behind it.
5 Rush - "Bull Whip"
Rush struggles in the ring. He might not be untalented, but he's constantly paired with some of the top wrestlers, and he often sticks out as somebody who's a little green for the platform given to him.
His current entrance theme song sounds like a generic rock song. It's supposed to present Rush as a "bull of a man" but instead sounds like it's a better fit for a SmackDown Vs. Raw soundtrack instead of a green wrestler like Rush.
4 Wheeler Yuta - "Born in Battle"
Yuta has a ton of potential to be a huge star in AEW one day. His current skills on the mic leave a lot to be desired but as a wrestler, he's definitely above average. His entrance music is nothing special and that's the biggest problem with it.
Instead of using a song that helps him get a bigger pop for his lack of personality, Yuta uses a song that's even more generic than he is. Although it may seem like the two go hand in hand on paper, it actually works to Yuta's detriment in practice.
3 Pac - "Out Of Time"
Pac is another wrestler who seems to have a completely separate identity from his entrance song. There's a lot of mystery surrounding Pac as a person at AEW and that actually works in his favor.

Instead of using a theme that would enhance the mystery or create some kind of ambiance of mystery, Out Of Time is just a generic song that does nothing for Pac upon arrival at the ring. It could be interchanged with any wrestler without a gimmick, and it would work. That's why it fails to serve Pac who has a decently established persona.
2 Christian Cage - "Take Over"
Christian Cage's entrance music isn't bad it just doesn't seem to fit him. His heel turn has helped keep Christian fresh on AEW television but every time his theme song drops it feels like some wrestler in a mask is about to enter the ring.
There's nothing remotely heelish about it and although it does seem to be a nod to his WWE entrance music, overall it doesn't serve Christian in any major way.
1 Jon Moxley - "Wild Thing"
People love the song Wild Thing. It's a fun song. It's definitely an easy way to get audiences involved in Moxley's entrance. That being said, it is not a song that sells the Jon Moxley that AEW fans know and love. Mox has a gritty approach to how he wrestles, and his approach has helped him get over with a majority of AEW fans.
Instead of having a theme that is as gritty as he is, Moxley uses a song that feels better fit for WWE's Aaliyah than it does AEW's Jon Moxley.
